You Are Missing It!

Greetings my Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus, I pray all is well with you and that the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ is with you.

I wanted to share with you a word the Lord has been laying heavy on my heart lately.

It is written in Psalms 39:4

[4] “Show me, Lord, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is.”

I am not exaggerating how intense the words “you're missing it” were ringing in my head. We have, I believe, all struggled with falling into a stupor when we get hit by life and it throws off our game.

But we must press on. We cannot let the burdens of the day rob us of our joy in the Lord. Whatever we are suffering, we rejoice in the Lord!

Fathers, husbands and brothers in Christ, do you know your children? Their gifts and talents that were given to them by God for his Glory. Do you lead them in the Word? Are you showing by example how to have your house in order? Are you teaching them to love their wives as Christ loved the church, by the way you love your wife with the love of Christ that is in you?

If not, or if you are struggling, praise be to God for this verse.

It is written in 1 John 1:8-10:

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. [9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. [10] If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.”

Brothers, we can go to our Heavenly Father with confidence because of Christ Jesus.

As it is written in Hebrews 4:16:

“[16] Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

We may also ask him for wisdom for how to do all He has asked us.

For as it is written in James 1:5-8:

“[5] If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. [6] But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. [7] That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. [8] Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.”

Let's go to God for all things that we may glorify our King Jesus Christ! Let us live by His word and watch the Lord work through our obedience in Him. Let us show the world what it is to follow Christ! Let us not let another day go by without showing love to our God, our spouse, our children, friends and family. Do everything you can to serve for the glory of the Lord in all you do!

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Blessings,

PDS
