Lying and Deception

Some of this devotional is taken from an article by Steve Gallager.

Lying has become so common in the American culture that people lie to each other as a normal part of life.

You ask what about Christians? It has become common place in the Church as well. The reason for this is we as a Church are far more dialed into the culture than we should be. We are more into worldly entertainment and it’s delusions than we are the love of the Truth, God’s Word.

The side effect of this deception is we are losing our trust in other people. When people are so unsure of who they can trust, they also start to question the truth of God’s Word. Christian values must be based on the Word of God alone, which is our pure truth.

Paul says that the ones who won’t be swept away in the great apostasy are those that have a love for the Truth. Deception will only increase in the days ahead. America desperately needs a revival of truth. May we be a Church that focuses on the truth of God May we fight for God’s truth for our own lives and the lives of those we lead.

How we spend our time as leaders and how we build our own life will determine how the people we lead are affected. Sharing the truth with others should take up more of our time so we don’t have time for worldly activities. Read the word or listen to the word for an hour each day. Pray for at least an hour a day. Sing praises for an hour a day. Help someone for an hour a day. That’s 4 hours less you will spend on worldly things. We need to take advantage of the truth as much as we can so the enemy can’t tell us lies and we will have nothing but the truth to offer.

Spread the truth and that will kill all the lies!

Everyone have a blessed week Love ya’ll God Bless
