James 1:6-8 “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 He is a double minded man. Unstable in all his ways.” NKJV
The context of this scripture is about facing trials in our lives and trusting God to get us through them. These verses in James are about having faith and not doubting when we’re praying about something or for someone. If we’re praying for something and doubting that we’re going to get it, we might not get it.
I always think of it as “God the Father” when praying. What parent, if their child asks for something says, “you probably won’t get it” and walks away. Will you get it for them? Probably not!
So, we, as God’s “children”, must not have doubt, when we are praying to our Father in heaven. We need to be believing and trusting in his promises. At the same time, we need to wait for an answer from the Lord because our father wants to talk with you. Too many times, we pray to God and then go about our business as usual.
The Lord wants to bless you and over fill your cup and give you life abundantly.
Amen, God is good!!!
