How often do the storms of life bring us down and have a major impact on how we live at that very time. Who can we turn to in the storm? Who is the one with the answers for us? Who is always there? When we are faced with troubles, we all need to make sure we are grounded in the Word, and we need to know that prayer is what will carry us through.
In the eye of the storm everything seems quiet and settled down. We know we will have to go through to the other side, but it does offer a little relief from what has been going on. This is when we should really seek God. He can speak so clearly at this time to us but we have to listen to him and act accordingly to his will for us.
It seems easy when you think about it but it’s never that easy when you are going through it. How can we keep it that easy? In whom do you trust?
Isaiah 26: 3 You will keep in perfect peace
those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you.
Do you trust him to bring you through? He is our perfect peace!
Psalm 91:1-2; 9-16
1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a]
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 “Because he[b] loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
Is God the one you’re calling out to? Are you focusing on the storm or the one who can bring you through it and calm it?
When we have Jesus as our Guide, he can calm any storm and bring us through!
Matthew 8:23-27
Jesus Calms the Storm
23 Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. 24 Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
26 He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
27 The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”
You see he is our lifeguard, our life saver, our all in all! He is the one with the power to calm any storm and walks with us through it! So, when you are faced with the storm in life call upon him to help you through; it. Before the storm ever sets in, have a relationship with him so you will know his voice and his ways of dealing with things, let his words and his ways follow you all your days.
Blessings to you all,
