January 8, 2026
Dear Northwood Church,
I cannot believe that Brenda and I have already been at Northwood Church for over four years now. The time has gone so quickly, and it has been filled with blessings and work.
As our journey continues together in the year 2026, I have been praying and searching God for His guidance for our church and the impact in the Redwood Falls, Springfield, and surrounding communities.
I believe God is guiding us to lead the way in children’s ministry both K-5 and Youth, and to be dedicated to families in our community. We have a growing children’s ministry, but we need more help and we need constant prayer and wisdom as we seek God in these areas.
We have seen over 50+ salvations again for the second year in a row. We celebrate in these decisions for the Kingdom of God! We have had over 15+ baptisms and many fillings of the Holy Spirit.
The year has seen some hardships as well, as overall attendance is down and our giving/tithing has seen challenges this year as well. These are opportunities where our faith and our perseverance in our Risen Savior will carry us through. I believe God has us here in Redwood Falls, in Springfield, and Clarkfield for such a purpose as He places us, and we continue to follow His guidance and direction.
Personally, I have been chosen as the presbyter of the Midwest section in the MN district, I continue to teach classes for the MN School of Ministry (MNSOM) and I am mentoring 8 potential pastors in their “calling” journey. But my own personal calling of pastoring Northwood Church remains the top priority that God has given me. Brenda and I continue to hold fast to the call that God placed on our hearts over 4 years ago to come to Redwood Falls.
This year my personal verses that God has used to guide me and help me understand His path for us is John 13:35 NIV “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” And I think that we can utilize this verse for inspiration in inviting our neighbors and friends to church.
Northwood Church will continually move in the direction of Mercy and Grace with all people and will continue to show God’s love in all aspects of our ministries. Even in partnerships with other community churches and pastors, we will continue to be integral in community events and causes, as we become the hands and feet of our Lord!
Again, I am humbled and extremely excited to be working this mission with all of the Disciples of Christ at Northwood Church.
Sincerely,
Pastor Tony Vietti
